It’s time to flex those social muscles and tone up your Twitter abs because we at Elephant Creative are launching our Education Tweeter of the Week awards. Ok, so there’s no actual prize – apart from the gloating factor that comes with the accolade, but that’s not really the point. You see…..
We’ve been running Tweeter of the Week (TOTW) for the professional services sector for a while now with great success and it only seemed right to extend it to our other specialism – the education sector.
The aim is to celebrate the fantastic work of schools, colleges and universities who have really grasped the use and benefits of Twitter for communication and promotion – whilst simultaneously helping those who are still on the path to achieving this, by way of example and advice.
The best way to learn is by example, of course, and so we hope you’ll follow this weekly series of short blog posts to pick up top tips and read about best practice in the industry.
Every Tuesday we’ll release the TOTW account chosen and scored by our experts at Elephant. The synopsis will list why we think the Twitter account is good – its style, branding, frequency of tweets, content and so on. But we’ll also offer up tips for how the account could be improved further to reap even more rewards.
You can keep up to date by following us on Twitter @elephantcreate and look out for the hashtag #EducationTOTW
If you think your institution is already a Twitter star or you know a school, college or university that should be featured, nominate them by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org
